The Venue
The Venue Sushi Bar & Sake Lounge has been serving some of the best sushi in the Coachella Valley since 2011. Founder and head chef Engin Onural has established himself as a master in his field, earning accolades and recognition from both his peers and critics alike. In fact, The Venue has been voted as the “Best Sushi in Coachella Valley” by Palm Springs Life Magazine every year since its inception.
Beyond his reputation for crafting outstanding sushi, Chef Engin is also certified by AJSA Sushi Skills Institute with extensive knowledge of hygiene practices when it comes to handling raw fish. He has represented America in the World Sushi Cup and is widely respected as one of the most talented chefs in the country.
Chef Engin's journey to The Venue is an interesting one. Raised by engineers, he initially earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Information Management from Bilkent University in Ankara, Turkey. However, he ultimately decided to pursue his passion for food and moved across the world to Los Angeles to train at the Sushi Chef Institute and become a certified sake sommelier. Today, Chef Engin continues to wow customers at The Venue with his exceptional skills and dedication to his craft.
